IN ONE LINE
Fly in, drill down, cash up. A co-op drilling game in the Australian outback for up to four friends.

THE SHORT VERSION
Fly in, drill down, cash up. A co-op drilling game in the Australian outback for up to four friends. Run the rig, sell the ore, buy a bigger one, then lose your pay at the pub. Mind the kangaroos.

ABOUT THE GAME
Drilling Down Under is a co-op game about a fly-in fly-out drilling job in the Australian outback, for one to four players online.

You and your crew fly in on the charter, peg the hole and fire up the rig. Run the old crawler from its bank by hand, change the rods, clear a choked cyclone and watch what comes up: black coal, red iron, copper, nickel, silver, gold, and diamonds if you're lucky. Hammo the geologist tastes the chips to tell you what's in them. He's usually right. Bag the ore, drive it to the buyer and get paid. Hit nothing and the bills still come.

After the shift there's Mount Grit. Nurse a schooner at the pub while Mick the glassie clears the tables, have a go at the darts or the pokies, and put a bet on the dogs with Lenny, then watch it on the pub telly with your friends' bets up beside yours. Fill up by hand at the servo, and pay Bev before you drive off. Buy a car from the yard: an old ute that starts first go, the dual cab everyone in town wants, the City Slicker if you're brave enough, or the gold one with nitro if you've got a spare million.

Start in a tired flat with one plastic chair and a worn out crawler. Work your way through 22 jobs across Australia to a big yellow truck rig, gold hard hats and a mansion with the only green lawn in town. Watch out for road trains, and for the kangaroos. Some of them want a fight.

KEY FEATURES
- Online co-op for 1 to 4 players, with proximity voice chat and UHF radios
- Three drill rigs: a worn out crawler you run by hand from its bank, the red truck rig, and a big yellow truck rig that does the heavy lifting
- 22 jobs across Australia, from coal and iron out to gold and diamonds, every ore its own colour coming out of the cyclone
- Peg the hole, change the rods, clear a choked cyclone, then bag the ore and sell it at the buyer
- Mount Grit: the pub (schooners, darts, the pokies and a shoey if anyone's game), betting on the dogs, horses and footy, a jeweller, the servo and a car yard
- Seven cars to buy, from a $3,500 ute to a million dollar gold 4WD with nitro
- Fill up by hand at the servo, and carry jerry cans for the long drives
- Homes from a tired flat to a mansion
- Kangaroos. Lots of them.

NEW SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT (12 OCTOBER 2026)
- Filling up by hand: take the nozzle, open the fuel door, hold E, then pay Bev at the till. Drive off without paying and the pumps stay locked.
- Jerry cans, two at a time, for the long drives out to the jobs.
- The old crawler from its bank, in third person, with a live cyclone that spits the chips out (and hits whoever's standing too close).
- Every ore looks like itself coming out of the cyclone: glossy black coal, red iron, orange copper, green nickel, bright silver, shining gold and light blue diamonds, and the precious ones glint as they land.
- The pub's locals nurse a schooner a sip at a time, and Mick the glassie clears the empties.
- Your bet and your friends' bets up on the pub telly while the race is on.

WHO'S WHO
- Nugget, Dusty, Snowy and Shazza: the crew (left to right in the line-up)
- Hammo: the geologist, who tastes the rocks
- Bev: at the servo, who wants paying
- Lenny: the bookie at the pub
- Mick: the glassie
- Gary: at the car yard
- Reg: who lives in a bunker and has a rifle range under it

WHO MADE IT
Drilling Down Under is made by a geologist and hydrogeologist who worked fly-in fly-out, flying from Perth up to the Pilbara. The rigs, the rods and the chips coming up the cyclone all come from his own years on site.
